This system working very well to perform the analog data acquisition (temperature) from many RTD to PLC SLC500 Allen Bradley via ADAM-4015, PROLINK-5201/5202-MNET-MCM(4) and PROSOFT-MVI56-MCM. The advantages of this acquisition system are: we could cost-down the using of analog cable, possibility of high speed data transfer until 100 Kb/s – 10Mb/s for long distance way (approximately until 1200 meter), possibility using redundancy concept to optimize and validate data collection from field instruments, reduce the complexity of analog cable installation and noise from unwanted signal (induced noise, ground level differences, impedance mismatches, failure to effectively bias for idle line conditions). You know that analog signal very sensitif from noise. Continue Reading »

Began on past March 2008, I am join with Automation Engineering Division, PT. Sinar Inti Electrindo Raya as Automation Project Engineer. Before that, PT. SIER had the several automation project, such as 50 TPD (Ton per Day) Biodiesel Plant in North Jakarta, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions) in IKPP Riau and Crushing Area and Barge Loading for KAYAN in Kalimantan.
After that, I am join to team of Biodiesel Plant. Then I choose to develop the user friendly interface for control and process monitoring of physical variables on biodiesel plant. Actually, this interface had been develop by other team but not finished well. Continue Reading »

According to CAN Europe estimation, global hydrogen production is at around 45 million tons per year or 500 million cubic metres per year. Half of the global production is used in the manufacture of ammonia-based fertilisers and 1 % of global primary energy demand used for energy purposes. For example, U.S. demand for hydrogen currently is about 9 million tons per year and this always growth every year.
There are various of conventional hydrogen production, which are :
Fossil Fuel Reforming
Steam Reforming (SR) – natural gas reacts with steam at 3 – 25 bar pressure (1 bar = 14.5 psi) and temperature 700 – 1,000°C (endothermic/heat absorbing reaction) with the help of a catalyst, thus producing the synthetic gas (syngas). Syngas is a mixture of hydrogen with carbon monoxide. Continue Reading »

Begin on march 2008 I have been working at Automation Engineering Division of PT. SIER (Sinar Inti Electrindo Raya) as Automation Project Engineer. Honestly this work scope area very different with my interest job, which is on energy analysis of renewable energy technology. But its okay and not make me back off. I will continue my interest job/research on new energy by combine the knowledge in Instumentation, Control System, Energy Process and Energy Convertion. I think my learning on PT. SIER could add knowledge so I could reach my dream to make detail design of Hydrogen Production Instalation. Continue Reading »
